So this an app I only recently discovered. I honestly don’t even remember how I found it – I just somehow stumbled across it in the app store. The way this app works is a little different. What you want to do is earn “Acorns” and these Acorns convert to cash and once you hit $10.00 you can cash out with paypal.
There are a few different ways to earn these Acorns. The first one is to complete ‘tasks’ – which so far was basically just setting up the account and answering your profile questions (nothing to tedious). Just setting up my account I earned about $0.55 (I didn’t have anyone to sign up under either – if you sign up and use my referral code “KGODIN” you will earn a $.50 bonus after you complete your first task!)
There are also two other ways you can earn these “Acorns” They are from the “Play” tab and the “Work” tab at the bottom of the app.
The Picture above is in the “Play” tab section at the bottom of the app. As you can see they have different sections within the Play tab itself. So if you click on one it will take you to a variety of different things you can do to earn Acorns. I honestly haven’t done one of these yet.
I don’t have a picture of the “Work” tab – mostly because it is location specific. So the tab is divided into similar sections as the play tab. However they are for stores or gas stations around you. I’ve noticed two types of “Work” things – One is where you check into the place (the specific place listed – like my local walgreens for instance) and you earn Acorns for checking in. Another is a ‘product trial’ all of which (at least in my dashboard) appear to involve purchase some type of liquor from a store, uploading a picture of it and the receipt, and answering a few questions. You do earn more Acorns for the Product Trial than the Check-in. So I guess if it’s something you were already planning on purchasing than it might be worth it. I personally haven’t used the product trial feature yet. For a Check-in all you do is click on the store you want to check-in at (maybe answer a question) and then you can earn your Acorns.
I haven’t earned enough to cash out yet – but so far I haven’t had a ton of trouble with the app – I only do the “Tasks” and the Check-ins though.
If you decide to sign up remember to use my referral code “KGODIN” so you can earn an additional $0.50 after you complete your first task!
