Hello Everyone!
I was able to try this Organic African Shea Butter and I must say it is wonderful!
First off – I live in Michigan (as many of you know) and it is starting to get colder. I would always have the problem of my skin taking the brunt of the weather change and becoming very dry. Sometimes my hands would even feel as if they cracked or got a paper cut. Plus the fact that I constantly wash my hands does not help the situation. This has honestly worked wonders on my hands.
It certainly moisturizes your hands wonderfully and keeps them that way.
When you first open the product you are going to think ‘ok, and what do I do with this’ because it doesn’t look like lotion, cream or even body butter in the sense everyone has come to expect. This is becuase it is in its ‘raw’ form. This does allow for some creative uses for it though. I know I plan on making my own lip balm and whipped body butter with it and some of the essential oils I have. When I make these (which I have never done before – so hopefully I’ll be able to do it without a hitch) I will post a video of my attempt and how it turned out! In the mean time you can check out Key West Health’s ways to make different lotions & Scrubs with this Shea Butter Here.
This can also be used in many other home-made products if you want to try to keep items in your home on the Organic/Natural side of the spectrum. I really like that this product is a certified Organic product as well – puts to rest the concern of the company just throwing up the label of Organic without going through the proper procedures to become certified as Organic. PLUS the contain it comes in is a BPA Free container!
All I would do when I was using this as a moisturizer is just rub some on my hands – it doesn’t stay hard – it literally starts to ‘melt’ just by your own body heat. I think this is what really helps with it keeping my hands moisturized. So if your wanting to try to make your own lotions that are organic and natural this is a good product to try with!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
