So this is another great way to save money – It’s not exactly “saving money” like you would think. Your not going out and NOT buying something or cutting back on an already tight budget, instead you are earning giftcards.
I know what your thinking – how does earning a gift card save me anything – well it does if you use it on something you were already going to buy. See I have a SUPER detailed post about how Swagbucks works here that I posted last week. If you read it you know that I’ve been using swagbucks for at least 2 years. I cash in my swagbucks for Amazon Gift cards and I will usually save those giftcards for the Holiday season to buy Christmas presents (unless I really need something or there is a screaming deal). I earn about $25 a month in amazon gift cards.
This saves money because that’s $25 (each month) that I can now allocate to my Christmas budget or spend on things we need. This means it’s $25 each month that I will not have to spend out of pocket – hence saving me money! Now I can take that $25 and put it in savings! SO for me I save $300 a year from using swagbucks. This doesn’t mean that everyone will be as gung-ho as I have been. However If I can earn $25 a month then it is safe to say that others can save at least $50 a year from it.
