Hello Everyone!
I have a true *I*didn’t*know*what*I*was*getting* Unboxing for you. As many of you know by now my little girl made her debut and made it quite the event. However, when she was two weeks old she ended up in the Hospital for a week (blog post to come soon) It was the scariest week of my life because we went into it not knowing what was wrong.
As a result I was ignoring everything that wasn’t helping me figure out what was wrong with my daughter – including updating my Julep box.
*side note my little girl is doing better*
I always customize my Julep maven box – A L W A Y S. Mostly because I’m not a big fan of surprises (although I am debating about signing up for a box that one of my friends recently tried out that you can’t customize like you can with Julep . . . we will see).
Since I was completely preoccupied and on *Intense*Mom*Mode* in the hospital the February Julep box for me was truly a surprise. If I’m being completely honest I totally forgot about it all together until it showed up at my door.
I do have my profile set on the “Classic With A Twist” style profile – so I guess it was customized to a degree in that regard.
I generally like to add a Lip product to my box so I was slightly disappointed that I didn’t get one in the February box. But I was super happy with the nail polish colors.
The color on the right is called “Kay” it is a beautiful taupe color that has a hint of a gold shimmer to it. It looks like it could pair nicely with almost any color outfit.
The color on the left is called “Meghan” it is a fiery red color – the kind of color that every girl should have in her nail polish collection! It’s bold yet at the same time the kind of color that would never go out of style (I guess it’s fitting with the box for Classic with a Twist).
This is part of the Eye-shadow 101 collection on Julep. The color is called “Warm Gold Shimmer”. This is a cream to powder eye-shadow stick that has a smudger on the end of it. If I’m being honest this isn’t something I would have added to my box on my own – but I do really like the color. The color is absolutely a color that I would’ve chosen myself – I just generally like my eye-shadows in a pallet form.
When I opened this originally the eye-shadow itself fell out of the stick – so I was less than enthused about it. However I was quickly able to fix it and now it works great (which surprised me).
Overall I was happy with the box even though I wasn’t able to customize it. I’m not sure that I would add the Eye-shadow stick to the box again but since I did receive it I can’t complain because it is a beautiful color.
You can still get your first Julep box for free when you get a 3-month subscription with code “FIRSTBOX”
