There is also another Deal for 20% off lose Tomato Purchase! This is why I LOVE SavingStar, it is rare to find fresh fruit & veggie coupons – but this app features the healthy offer of the week allowing you to buy them for cheaper.

Hello! Hope everyone is having a good week. I know I usually Post this on Monday but life has been chaotic between my puppy having surgery (…poor hunny) and losing power :/ BUT now it’s all back to normal (for the most part – My Cici is still recovering)
This week it’s the Third post in this series. If you Missed the First two posts you can see them here.
It’s All About SavingsStar this week! It works just like the Ibotta and Checkout51 app (kind of). Saving Star is Unique because it allows you to load coupons (and earn towards money back) to your card – across stores. Plus you can always just snap a picture of your receipt like Ibotta and get money back that way too!
What you will need to do is click here to go to SavingStar’s Website and sign up.
The website will look similar to the picture above. As you can see there are different types of coupons – you can get a % back on a purchase, you can load a manufacturer’s coupon to your card, and you can even earn your way towards money back with their “One or many” deals.
Next you Can load your various store cards to your Savingstar if you would like. Or You can simply just submit a receipt like you would Ibotta.
How you do this is by going to the tab in the top right that says “My Account”
You will then click on the tab that says “Cards” (like the picture above) and insert your card numbers (you can sometimes find them on the stores website when you log into your account for each individual store).
The best suggestion I have for you here when it comes to selecting deals is to LOAD THEM ALL – because you never know what you will find on clearance!
Now Since these are manufacturer’s coupon you can stack it with a store coupon – but you Can’t stack it with a second manufacturer coupon. With the only exception being the “One or Many” deals do allow the use of Manufacturer’s coupons on the items within the deal itself.
Once you meet the $5.00 Minimum you can request to take the money out in various different forms (including amazon gift card, paypal, put directly into your bank etc.)
It’s that easy! They offer Free items every Friday!

*Updated April 2015*
This is the second Post in my Apps that Pay you series. If you missed the first Post about Ibotta click here.
Checkout 51 is VERY much like Ibotta, but with a few key differences (which make me like it a bit more!).
With this app you have the deals for ONE week and that one week only because every Wednesday night the deals expire and you are given new deals.
This does often result in repeat deal offers – which is why I tend to like it more. If there is a repeat deal (and I have already used the deal in the same week) I always get excited because this means I get to re-do the deal! Since Checkout 51 resets on Wednesday the ‘deal’ in store is still running (because store deals run Sunday -Saturday for the most part). This often means that I can do the deal twice (once before Wednesday – and once after Wednesday) when repeat deals are posted.
Another BIG difference that makes me like this app a bit more then Ibotta is that you can purchase the item from ANY store (I have not had a problem redeeming it from any store yet!) and there are NO store specific offers.
*Update April 2015* There are also a few new features on this app now! The first is there is almost always an offer that you can ‘choose’ meaning they will give you a choice between 5 different offers and you can pick the one you plan on using that week. This is often dealing with Product items i.e. bananas, berries, onions and the like and generally is for $0.25 back.
Also a cool new addition to this app is that you can redeem some offers multiple times now. When you click on the offer – it will tell you the amount of times you can redeem it (i.e. Limit:2) this means if you get 2 of the same item on the same receipt you can just hit the + button and increase the rebate on that item to 2. OR it means you can redeem it twice during that week (doesn’t have to be at the same store). **
Now to dive into how to use the app itself. First you have to register and download the app.
Once you are there you can sign in and look at the offers. Often times when you click on an offer you will see a recipe included and/or some fun fact, as well as the offer and product details.
As you can see they often have generic ‘brand’ offers. Meaning that you can buy 1 gallon of milk (any brand as long as it is 1 gallon) and you will get the rebate. I love it when the Checkout 51 & Ibotta offers of the generic brand overlap.
Checkout 51 also runs generic offers off of fruit & other food (like yogurt) some weeks as well!
Once you purchase the item you will need to upload a picture of the receipt (before the offer expires on Wednesday).
Then you will need to ‘check’ the offers that you are redeeming on that receipt and hit submit.
…and just like that you are all done! You do have to wait until you hit $20.00 to pull the money out of the app, but once you do Checkout 51 will mail you a check.
This is another app that I use ALL the time and if you want to be able to get all the good deals you will want to use it as well!
That’s it. :) Read my Post about how to Afford Organic food on a tight budget because this app will only add to the savings!

There are SO many good apps that Couponers use. The App that I’m featuring this week is called Ibotta.
*Update April 2015 – Ibotta now offers “teamwork bonuses” (Explained below) If you want to join my team and help get you to your bonus faster Be sure to sign up with this link*
Ibotta is an app that gives you cash back for buying a specific product. I LOVE this app because It allows me ‘stack’ even more savings on a particular item. This means you can use the manufacturer coupon on an item, a store coupon on an item, and after you purchase it you can submit it to Ibotta for money back! You simply buy the item, select the rebate, take a picture of the receipt and wait for you money to be awarded to your account.
The first thing you have to do is to Register with Ibotta Here and then you can download the app and sign into your account.
The first screen you will see is where you select the type of offer you want.
As you can see it features such a variety of Options for you to receive a rebate on, Movies, Restaurants, Photos, Online Shopping, Big Box Stores, Pets, Home Improvement and so much more!
For the Sake of this example we will use a Grocery Store. You would select the “Grocery” Category. This will take you to a Screen like Below.
You will then select the Store that you Purchased the Product from. – In this Example I used Target and it will take you to the offers screen
Next you can slide through and find the offers you want to use – I used the Zevia offer (a new addiction of mine!) They often have the Eggs featured in the picture above, or even cash back on a gallon of milk purchase.
Once you select the Offer you have to go through the little circles at the bottom in order to redeem it. Usually a Fact to Learn, Poll to Vote in, or Video to watch. Occasionally you will see a “tweet it” like the one pictured (Ibotta is the sole reason I have a twitter account!)
Once you are done with this you click “Redeem” at the Bottom of the screen. This will Prompt you to take a photo of the Receipt and then scan the product. Once you are done you can Submit it. Ibotta usually credits your account within the next few hours. Once you hit their minimum amount to withdraw you can then select the way you would like to get your money (this can even include gift cards!)
There is also the opportunity to earn “Bonuses” (the little trophy in the bottom right corner) this means if you complete the offers or tasks within the separate “Bonuses” that are featured you can get even more cash back!
*Update April 2015* These bonuses include the ibotta Teamwork bonuses! How the teamwork bonus works is you individually have to redeem $X amount of rebates during that month (you have all month) AND your team has to redeem $X amount of rebates (so the more people on your team the more likley you are to get the bonus) Once both have occured you get the amount for that month. Generally there are 4 tiers to the ‘teamwork bonus’ which means you have 4 times to earn extra bonus money each month. If you want to join my team be sure to sign up here. For example This month (April 2015) Teamwork tier 1 bonus was $5.00, tier 2 bonus was $5.00, tier 3 bonus $3.00 and tier 4 bonus $2.00 for a total of an extra $15.00 if all four tiers are completed (this is on top of the rebates you were already getting!)
It is that simple! I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone who wants to maximize savings with little effort to sign up for Ibotta (I will include when a good coupon offer can be paired with an Ibotta offer under the coupon match ups!)
I use this app all the time! Along with quite a few others – I will be featuring Checkout 51 Next Week.
Other Apps I use that will be featured in the Weeks to come:
SavingsStar (It’s a website that is very much like Ibotta & Checkout 51)
Swagbucks & Swag TV (I know this is a website – but I actually get between $25-$45 a month from this site, so It is definitely worth mentioning just from searching & watching Videos while I cook/clean!)
Favado & Lots More – I think if I keep listing them you will be overwhelmed (I know I was at first!) That is why I’m explaining one each week.
If you want to get a Jump start and start earning on all of them then just follow the links!
Be sure to check back throughout the week because Deals are posted almost daily! Comment and let me know how you maximize your savings and remember to subscribe so you never miss a deal!
